At the heart of ALL IN by Mladen Hrvanović, MHR, lies a fascination with a single element — carbon — explored across its cosmic, geological, biological, philosophical and technological range

The works do not treat the element merely as a chemical substance. The artistic narrative speaks of carbon as a universal principle of transformation, encoding, communication and consciousness — and of the artist himself as a living carbon system, reflecting its own nature through the process of creation.

MHR — Maximum Heart Rate — is the measure of that pressure: the medical boundary between effort and collapse. Under pressure the same element becomes either soot or diamond. ALL IN is the stance of staking everything on that transformation.

Across paintings, sculptures, drawings and light installations, the exhibition moves between the handmade mark and generative code, between the geology of the island and the architecture of data. In Komiža, the work returns to the landscape that carries it.
